Am I writing poetry to pass time?
In a world full of fame, even a lobby can be said to be fake.
Trying to make an idea into a reality,
but everyone's making it a calamity.
Well, even with their personalities,
I'm just trying to express my originality as a poet.
I'm trying to be a pilot of my journey,
but not alone — but with my Savior.
I know you may ask who He is;
in fact, let me introduce you to
the one who was, the one who is,
and the one who is to come.
My refuge and strength.
Who is not like Superman,
who gets weak when kryptonite is in his radius.
Well, for my Savior,
He defies the laws of the world.
He's beyond supernatural.
He's deity.
And that's the reason I'm writing poetry.
We often think that following God means a life of ease,
but trials come, and Faith is tested, it's true.
We're called names, ridiculed, and dishonored by those we love,
but Christ faced far greater struggles, sent from above.
He was mocked, beaten, and crucified, yet He prayed,
"Father forgive them, for they don't know the way."
We face crises, tribulations, and dark hard nights,
but we must hold on to faith, and shine with all our might.
For at the end of the tunnel, jubilation awaits,
Joy will come, and our hearts will celebrate.
So don't be discouraged, dear soldier, don't lose your way,
keep pushing forward, come what may.
Remember Christ's words,
"In this world, you will have trouble,
but take heart, for I have overcome the world's trouble."
So stand firm, dear one, don't give up the fight,
for with God by your side,
you will emerge in the light.
Amidst the chaos, I'm searching for my way,
Undecided in a world where everyone's trying to please others,
Searching for their call, yet purpose is lost.
Searching for their dreams, yet dreams are lost.
Wow, still searching for a dream, a purpose.
It's like what they say in Nyanja:
"Ngati vakanga nish vakanga" —
If it's failed, it's failed.
But is that really the call God has for you?
Your worldly goals have failed
because they're not in line with God.
Listen to His voice, seek His face.
What does it profit a man
if he gains the whole world and loses his soul?
The problem is, you're chasing fleeting fame,
but true fulfillment comes from God's name.
You're trying to fill the void with temporary highs,
but only God's love can satisfy your deepest sighs.
